ɛ , Latin Small Letter Open E, ( Unicode number: U+025B HTML-code: ɛ Version: 1.0 - October of 1991 ) is a member of the IPA Extensions block and is a member of these sets (Lowercase Letter, Alphabetic, Latin Script, Lower and ALetter).
They are symbols #401 and #604 on the Unicode table. They are Latinized versions of the Greek Letter Epsilon created for the IPA wp.
The Unicode consortium admits that the name of this symbol was a mistake; the upper cased should have been called "Latin Capital Letter Epsilon" and the lowercase should have been called "Latin Small Letter Epsilon".
